Oriental Therapeutic Retreat

15 May 2008, Thursday
5.00pm to 8.00pm
Free experiences from the client.
Went with my boss & colleagues.

I have tried their Signature Reflexology, Gua Sha Therapy, Herbal Foot Spa, 'A Gong' Ear Cleaning and their Express Nail Trim. It took us about 2 to 3 hours to finish the package and I would say I had a great experience there. The therapists were nice and thorough in their services, great Shanghainese-style's ambience and we get to choose the channels or dvds to watch while doing the therapys too. Haha! It is a nice place to revisit again for its comfy & relaxation. And I have almost fell asleep though!? Oops =).

HapPy Mummy's Day!!

Happy Mummy's Day!!
11th May 2008, Sunday Night
Nihon Mura (Yio Chu Kang Branch)

Yesterday me & my sis brought the whole family to Nihon Mura for Mother's day dinner. We had Green TeaSss, Soft Shell Crab Handrolls, California Handrolls, Unagi Tempura Handroll, Chicken Salad, Potato Salad, Ebi Fried, Agedashi Tofu, King Prawn, Yasai Miso Soup, Chicken Curry Don, Cha Soba, Maguro, Nihon Sensation and sUshiii hahaha! Omg what a 'japanese' spread we had, and total we spent $104.20. Yummy! But I don't really like their Maguro (Raw Tuna), as they served it in big cubes instead of thin slices. Overall rating was Okay....I think their Nihon Sensation (Mixed Fruits Ice Mountain with Ice cream) was the best haha!

E2 Outing!!
10th May 2008, Saturday

Went Kbox with Daphne, Yiwen & Hung Loong from 2.30pm to 7.00pm. We had a great time as this was the first time we actually sang with each other, and I guess the MVS (Most Valuable Singer) goes to HL! Hahaha! He shocked us with his deep vocal and he had his own singing style? or the way he interpret a song was different, but nice. He had to go off earlier for work so he didn't manage to join us for dinner. We met up with Amelia around 7.30pm outside Ichiban Sushi and had quite a long dinner there. All of them were still studying except me, and we shared our different experiences. It was interesting though as none of us is in the same fields. I misses school too!!! But! I only misses all my art classes hehe! *Leonard can sing jay's songs well? Let see leonard hahaha! Argh...I have enough of Japanese food now...NOOOOoo!!

Welcome to Café Iguana

Having our desserts at Nectarie le Dessert Patisserie

ZoUk-oUt!!

At Café Iguana, we had Nacho, Quesadillas, Mini Chimichangas and Grilled Chicken Fajitas, together with a jug of their famous Strawberry Margarita. This is a Mexican-style restuarant at Riverside Point and by the evening time, the place were fully packed and bustling with all sorts of classy groups...ranging from locals to cascuasians. Haha Cool! After the dinner, we went to Nectarie le Dessert Patisserie to have our desserts. We shared Strawberry Shortcake and Mango Mousse?? can't really remember oOps. And while waiting for the fun time, we sat there gossiping around, laughing and watching out for cute guys haha! We were then sort of like telling each other what kind of guys we like and here is the conclusion. Hidayah like vampire, Lyana like a geek, Sher li like witty & humorous guy and I like music/cultured type hehe. At about 10am, we took cabs to Zouk...paid the cover charges, got a drink each and settled down at one of the table. It was pretty bored during this period as the fun will only start at 12am. So we waited and waited until finally the music got up, and we got to the centre of the dance floor. It was really super duper packed at zouk but we still got a place and danced with the crowds hehe. My heels were killing me! after an hour plus to 2 of dancing...we were all tired. Well, so we left the place and headed home at about 2plus am. Had a fun night with these colleagues and yea, see ya on monday! Cheers to the end of May Issue! Hahaha!

Feet Unbound

The Poverty. The Odyssey. The Tragedy.
A young woman's retraces the footsteps of China's female soldiers of The Long March and encounters untold stories of courage and hope in the face of extreme deprivation and brutality. www.feetunbound.com/

3rd May 2008, Saturday
9.55pm. The PictureHouse. Retracing The Long March route with the filming team. Main cast: Elly.

Saturday went to catch a movie with xf at The Cathay and we watched Feet Unbound, a documentary movie in the Picturehouse. I like this movie alot as it was really touching, and was so detailed that it actually brought us back to that Long March period. They had interviews with the few of the Western Route Army survivors; female in their 80/90s now. Through the recounts of the scene, we could eventually sense their bravery, courage and determination in surviving the ordueous tragedy. Their life were really bad. They did not have enough food, shelters, first aids and weapons to fight the war. However, they had to take the orders, and conquer the mountains & yellow river. Back and fro, back and fro, with just a pair of straw slippers, they covered more than 10,000km on foot. For more details of the movie, please visit their website stated above.

What A Girl Wants

Why do you try to fit in, when you're born to stand out?

Updates

I'm getting so lazy to blog now! Haha. Ok, here are some updates for the past days. I am recovering from a bad fever, which is followed by sore throat, cold & cough. Was given mc for 3 days and finally went to work on thursday. With my 'sexy' voice & cough, I have survived these few days of crazy works. This is the rush hour for May issue deadline and we had been OT-ing still late nights. I'm still left with quite a few articles to go and hopefully I can manage to finish everything by next tuesday?

Currently our company is undergoing a huge change in team, so...it is quite bad now. Next friday we are all going clubbing!! Hahaha! Time to let loose!

Hm...last night met up with leo & hung loong...was supposed to meet them for the amk pasar malam...but by the time I reached amk...they were all ready to walk me home haha!

Tml is Labour day! It is public holiday! Hahaha. So what are you guys having? I gonna go to my 5th uncle house for the Mothers' day gathering in the afternoon. A potluck session though. Nicee homecooked buffet I supposed.

To wrap up for the day, let me introduce to you this 'comicy' tw drama that I have watched.
